a bit delayed

im finally able to walk without making my way to the bathroom and proceeding to sit on the floor crying. and im proud to say i downed a bowl of ramen with out it coming up a couple hours later.

lets rewind to a few days before this stomach bug conquered me and ruined my plans so far this week.

okay so lets pretend its monday, im gonna tell you all about my lovely weekend. friday my boyfriend and i went on a haunted hayride and saw the movie red with bruce willis and morgan freeman. i thought it was so cute boyfriend wanted to take me on a hayride and then five minutes away from the place i realize a couple things a) its night and very dark b) this is not a normal cute hayride, its a haunted hayride c) i have no way of escaping now. im not a big fan of getting scared, i dont watch scary movies at all and get freaked out by the noises my coffemaker makes. aka im a huge baby. as scary as it was for me and the boyfriends step mom, i enjoyed it and i know boyfriend and his dad did because they were laughing every time the ladies screamed.

saturday i went to whole foods with these cuties:

finn is finally talking after being deaf for 6 months and called every pumpkin in the patch "mine"

then we went back to my house and carved, crafted and baked

they didnt like carving the pumpkins that much so we let my brothers do the dirty work

sunday was the making strides against breast cancer walk that my mother, my best friend and her mother have been doing for about 10 years now. unfortunately my best friend lives in virginia now and hasnt attended in awhile.

everyone neglected to tell me how gross i looked with a hat on.

well that was kinda lengthy but i wanted to share my lovely weekend with everyone. hopefully i can actually make it to classes tomorrow!

stomach bug

i have caught the stomach bug that conquered my house all last week. i'll return when i can finally walk again without getting nauseous.

a no good day

so lets discuss how wonderful (total sarcasm) has been so far, well lets see i woke up because of my alarm but then went right back to sleep and didnt wake up until about ten minutes after my class started so i just decided to let myself sleep in for a little bit more and ended up sleeping another hour and a half. then i finally realize why my best friend, mom and boyfriend did not respond to any of my texts messages yesterday because i bought the wrong package and features for my phone last month. im not sure if i have enough money to buy my train tickets tomorrow. i have a paper due tomorrow i havent started writing or doing the reading for and yet again i found out people i thought i was friends with were just a waste of my time. i love when that happens. i think im going to sleep until its time for my train home tomorrow. this post really is a downer in my book.

lets switch to things im happy/looking forward to:
- going home tomorrow
- cooking dinner tonight
- my human ecology class this afternoon and seeing my rock emily
- my best friend finally visitng me at school tuesday and seeing the sound of music sing-a-long in theaters
- apple cider slushies, hayrides,pumpkin picking and farm visiting friday and saturday
- seeing my sister
- cuddling with my dogs

okay i feel much better now getting that all out. sometimes i feel like i have no one to vent to at school and then i remember i can talk to all of you. i promise to come back with a more positive attitude in the near future.

when i wake up

i want to wake up to this view every morning, i decided this weekend after visiting my friends at wvu that i wanted to move there so i could see views like this everyday. is there any place you dream of living?

my weekend

this weekend i went to wvu to visit some friends and attend a conference. it was so incredibly beautiful there i didnt want to leave! im still not back in the swing of things but i have a presentation and paper due tonight, tomorrow i'll come back with pictures!

my list of things that have made me happy today
- im going to west virginia tomorrow!
- one of my friends i'll be seeing tomorrow fb chatted me and we discussed how exciting this weekend is going to be
- my hell week is over, however next week will be part 2
- i felt amazing about my grade in a hard class after an appointment with my professor
- glee
- i got a letter from my boo bear!
- im still excited about the fact that my friend is engaged!
- my friend and i are making plans for her to come visit and go to my favorite class and then see the sound of music sing-along afterwards
- every day i go to human ecology i fall in love with the class and profess even more


i wrote this list in my head about 20 different times, but now i forget half of what i wanted to say. have a lovely weekend loves. i'll be loving live in west virginia!

confession

i have a confession to make, i have a secret girl crush on jayma mays, more specifically her character emma pilsbury on glee and her wardrobe on the show. i love gingers, pencil skirts, cardigans, and heels and she has the bases covered. plus shes just so freaking adorable. im not sure if this is normal but oh well i dont care.

the weekend

this weekend i went home for the first time since labor day weekend and it was lovely. i got to see the lovebugs and bake with them, saw lovebutton and went to the movies with my best friend and all sorts of silliness ensued afterwards.

we went to whole foods!


then i taught her how to lick the brownie batter from the bowl


we snuck in slushies to the movies along with cookies and brownies. everyone needs to go see Life As We Know It, it was soooo good. there were parts where i was crying and laughing simultaneously. really go see it!
after the movies best friend and i decided we were going to leave an operation beautiful post it note in the theaters bathroom but we got sidetracked and forgot so we just decided to leave them on our friends cars instead.




now the post it notes are up in their houses!
and we also tried out spin pins they were pretty fun even though the first few attempts were completely awful

higlight of my day

so today i found out some really great news, my best friend whom i've known since i was three years old is engaged!!!! i got to meet the lucky guy for the first time this summer,since they both go to school in virginia. i am sooo incredibly happy and teared up a bit when i found out.

fall break

yesterday i decided to create my own fall break since rutgers does not have one. so instead of heading back to school yesterday, im not leaving until this afternoon. since alot of my friends had a fall break i wanted to have my own. its been a really weekend and im still catching up on everything and i think the lack of sleep i had is causing me to become sick, tomorrow i'll talk about some of the stuff i did. until enjoy these pictures:

i really hope i get chosen for the next round of group interviews, i've always loved doing service projects because of my involvement in 4-H growing up. my friend that attends willim and mary in virginia has gone on these trips before and has told how great they are, hopefully i'll get the chance to experience a trip like this. keep your fingers crossed that i get chosen so i can have this once in a lifetime experience!

wishful thinking

this might sounds corny but i've always had a love affair with the south. when i was little my family always took trips to gatlinburg, tennessee and i think from that minute on my heart belonged to the southern way of life. my dream was to attend the university of tennesee or a school in virginia and never return to the state of new jersey. however that did not happen and i attend school in state. one day however i plan to live in virginia, west virginia or tennesee in a house like this:

my husband and i will have a little garden and we'll live a mile away from our neighbors. we'll only buy produce from farmers markets and our kids will drink out of these

we'll have some dogs and cats, a cow and chickens and a little pot bellied pig. we'll follow college football religiously, their father will teach them how to drive on an old john deere tractor, just like him and i were taught and we will all live a lovely life.

but thats just some wishful thinking of mine. do any of you have thoughts like this about your future? or am i the only crazy one?
